Request a ride with the tap of a button! Take Uber to or from the Zoom Point Pinole event this Labor Day. Uber is offering new users a free first ride (up to $30). Just enter ZoomUber30 when you sign up in the app, or text to 827-222. You can also sign up at www.uber.com/go/zoomuber30 and download the app for Android, Blackberry, or iPhone. Then sit back and enjoy the magic of Uber, everyone's private driver. (Valid for new users only, TAXI excluded.)

Hope this doesn't apply to the next few events, but you never know! Looked this up: National PARKS (Interior): Closed, all special event permits rescinded. National FORESTS (Agriculture): Open, special events may proceed. Bureau of Land Management (Interior): Closed, but permitted special events may proceed. No, it doesn't apply for the Bizz Johnson events, thankfully. We have approval to hold events as usual.

Hi, Vlad. You're right, NPS is on furlough and unreachable. Good news is we have approval to use Mt. Tam State Park. We're already staging at Santos Meadow. Alternate course will be similar to Steep Ravine.

We appreciate your feedback. We prefer Saturday events because it reduces the risk of course vandalism. (We mark the afternoon before the event). We'll take a look at the calendar and try to schedule some Sunday events....

Rachel,
Yes, you're right. For the 10K you can checkin and receive your bib number later. I've updated the website:
Bib Number & Shirt Pick-Up 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. at Lower Macleay Trailhead.
See you then!
Wendell, RD

Don, it's about an hour from Santa Rosa to Muir Beach. There's a link to driving directions using Google Maps on the event website.
See you tomorrow!

No. The "controlled burn" was near Coon Creek and south of the Spooner's Cove course.

Sorry to hear that you lost your wallet. No one turned it in at the event.
