I would definitely wear road shoes for the Bizz Johnson course.

Yes, the 4 mi turnaround is at the base of the steep section (where there's a trail to the stream, ~ 300 meters before the cave). Wendell

Mostly sand and mid-size, smooth rocks.

I'm running the coastal marathon on the 19th of February. What shoes should I wear.... Conditions I should be aware of.... The Golden Gate Marathon is more technical than the ZR Bay Trail. Trail running shoes are preferred but regular road running shoes should work fine, too.

Regular running shoes are recommended for the ZombieRunner Bay Trail course. It's flat and non-technical...

How different is the Crystal Springs 11 mile race, compared to the PCTR Woodside 17K course? Thanks. It's the same course with the same aid station at King's Mtn. Wendell

Jeremy,
There are 2 significant climbs (at 2 mi & 8 mi). Rest of the course is rolling. We'll post the elevation profile on the Lake Chabot event page soon. Thanks!

The standard entry fee includes a cotton shirt. There's an option when you register to upgrade to a Green Layer high tech shirt (short sleeved) for $10. Or you can opt not to receive a shirt for $5 off.
