Hello fellow trail runners. I am an Aussie male on my first trip to the USA. I am doing a weeks training for work in Texas and then flying to San Francisco for some trail running (from what I'm reading San Fran seems to be the running town). I would like to enter the Horseshoe Trail Marathon on Saturday the 13th of October. Is there anyone that could give me a lift to the race please? I can get a motel in Palo Alto or San Fran city - whatever is easiest for you. If in Palo Alto, I can wait outside the Zombie Runner store if that helps? I will not get to San Fran airport until late on the Friday night before and renting a car, driving at night and driving on the opposite side of the road to a place I have no idea where, is a little daunting Thanks guys. I haven't signed up yet as I'll see if someone can give me a hand with transport first. Thanks again, Craig.

Hey Craig,
Did you find a carpool to the race on Saturday yet? I'm in Palo Alto (about 25 minutes from the start). I'm just running the 5-miler, then volunteering from 9:30a-1:30p. I'm getting my bib at Zombie Runner on Friday (think it goes from 2-6p). Shoot me an email at if you still need a lift: alison_bou@yahoo dot com.
Cheers, Alison

Thank you for your offer Alison. As i said on race day, i rented a car and braved the traffic driving on the right hand side of the road. It was great to meet you to put a kind face to a kind offer. Congratulations on your third place! It was a beautiful place to run. Saw my first deer just off the course at about the 16 mile mark Thank you again Alison. Craig.
